Prospective Postdoctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
Fellows are encouraged to apply and can either be funded directly from our operating grants or via Fellowship funding. We have a strong track record for our postdoctoral fellows obtaining fellowships from government or charitable sources.
Our lab accepts both PhD. and MSc. students, typically for entry in Fall semester. Candidates may be domestic or international.
In doing so we look for potential candidates who have related research experience and demonstrated skills, a strong academic record, are creative and highly motivated, and whose interests match on-going work in the lab.
Prospective fellows and students may contact Professor Sweeney at gsweeney@yorku.ca, providing a statement of your interests, a CV and (unofficial) transcript. Letters of recommendation will be requested prior to acceptance.
Undergraduate Research Opportunities
We always welcome undergraduate trainees and provide opportunities for undergraduates to participate in our research projects via conducting an honors thesis, summer internships, or the research practicum course. Please contact Professor Sweeney if you are interested in getting involved.
